"The Undertaker Inducts His Wife and WWE’s First Divas Champion Michelle McCool Into the Hall of Fame"

Michelle McCool has officially been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, with the honor presented by her husband, Mark Calaway — best known to fans as The Undertaker. The emotional moment took place during this weekend’s Hall of Fame ceremony, which kicked off early Saturday morning for viewers in the Central and Eastern time zones. Speaking not as The Undertaker but as himself, Calaway commended McCool’s perseverance in chasing her WWE dreams and her lasting impact on today’s women’s division. As the inaugural Divas Champion, McCool played a pivotal role during the Divas era, often remembered for her partnership with Layla as the villainous duo “LayCool.” Their infamous storylines, including the controversial "Piggy James" feud, became defining moments of that time.

During her induction speech, McCool reflected on Calaway’s stories about her relentless pursuit of success in WWE, a sentiment she confirmed herself. She also humorously revealed that Calaway played a prominent role in some WWE-inspired hallucinations she experienced while battling a serious illness. McCool acknowledged several former colleagues in the audience, including Natalya and Stephanie McMahon, and even teased the possibility of a reunion with Layla for their iconic "Lay-Cool" act. McCool went on to speak passionately about conquering her fear of failure, using her own career as an example, and took a moment to address her children in the crowd. She also expressed her gratitude to trainer and advocate Fit Finlay, highlighting the challenges women faced during the Divas era, when they often had only three or four minutes of in-ring time.
